Love this design. Quick to stitch, but putzy to tear away the paper on the back. Considering wash away. Made 2 red towels with red design and one green towel with green design.

This Just Makes Me Happy

I confess, I'm a list maker.... I love making a list and marking off what I'm able to conquer that day. Will also confess that as I age, it helps me to remember what I had planned to do too! I picked up this quilted fabric years ago. Been waiting for just the perfect thing to make for myself with it. Came across the pink belt, I thrifted for handles, and was inspired. Went shopping for a binding. Basically a central place to keep track of whatever I need too. While I made this bag/binder cover, the original pattern came from my friend Lisa. I kept my circular knitting needles, in pencil bags, in a 3 ring binder. I described what I wanted and she whipped this one up for me. We have made many of these over the years. All my double pointed knitting needles are in this notebook.

Chubby Tote

I'm a little late to this party. All my quilty friends have made the Chubby Tote . I bought this fabric recently and today is the day! I think it turned out pretty cute. Might put something in the bottom to keep it from sagging with items in it. Already thinking about what fabrics I'll use for the next one!

Greatful, Thankful Blessed

For the last few years, I hosted the blog for my local quilt shop. Now that I'm settling into retirement, ready to keep a place to look back on labors of love, gifts made for others and resource for helpful links. I had so much fun putting this together, but then it set on my shelf, abandoned, waiting to be quilted. Completed just in time to put on the table for Thanksgiving, after taking down Halloween decorations. I had to reapply my binding, not at all happy with my first try. This video really helped with all those points. I have so many, many, unfinished projects and projects waiting to be started. Hoping this will motivate me to get some done!
