Heading to retreat in a few days. Planning to get my recent peekers made into hooded bath towels while there. I'm really loving how cute these are, and fun to make!

My First Sew Together Bag and ones that followed!

I love this bag but was intimidated to make it. This You Tube Video made it fun and easy! Now, to make a few more! 1/8/2025 Another! This one is with Marimekko fabric Emmye brought back from Finland years ago. A gift for her birthday.

Unfinished Projects completed in 2025

I made this pillow top some time ago. I still need to find fabric to make the pillow back yet., but quilted and ready. Love all the snowflakes in this design. I had purchased these towels some time ago. Two down, one to go! Found abandoned pieces for this in a drawer. Quilted the back. It's about 6x6.

Lots of lessons learned

This is the second time I have attempted to quilt this NICU quilt.... I put it together quickly at a retreat. As I tried to just straight stitch quilt it the first time, I saw many of my block didn't line up and I hated how the straight-line quilting was turning out. So, I ripped out my quilting, took the blocks apart. Squared all the blocks up and put the quilt top back together.... Ugh! Lessons learned: flannel stretches, I really like longarm or edge to edge quilting better, and to slow down! Two of my grandsons spent some time in the NICU and still have their quilts. Happy to have this one done.
