Great Lakes Panel

 

Recently purchased this panel.

Planning wall hanging for our camper with the larger one, and 

pillows for 2 girlfriends for their campers as a birthday present.

Did an overall quilting design, but I'm not sure it was really the right fit...makes it hard to see the picture on the panel...

Stitched the center in the ditch on this pillow.

Fussy edge to edge embroidery on the border.

Used my template to line it up each time.  I found if I started just

inside the outer border, it didn't stitch on my inner border. 

There was lots of stopping and advancing until the 

design came back on the border.

It's easier to see on the back.

Both of these are gifts for dear camping friends.

The larger panel, I made into a wall hanging for my camper.

I practiced just quilting in the border on this project before doing the pillow.  It's not perfect, but it's mine.
